Booking for independent barbers

Your chair. Your services. A schedule clients can book.

Renting a chair does not mean working the same hours as everyone around you. Start with services and availability that reflect how your business actually runs.

Choose how your business is organized

If you run an independent barber business, create your own HiOla Business workspace and choose the barber shop preset. Review the service menu before sharing your link: names, prices, appointment lengths and cleanup buffers should match what you offer.

In a shared shop workspace, each barber can have individual services, weekly hours and days off. The owner or administrator manages availability. Individual schedules do not mean every team member can edit the shop's hours.

Make the schedule match the chair

A haircut and beard appointment may take longer than a beard trim. Set an accurate duration for each service and a buffer for cleanup before the next client.

Keep days off and schedule exceptions current. The booking page uses the selected service and barber's availability to offer open times. Enter appointments you manage in HiOla so the calendar reflects your commitments.

A separate paper book or another calendar is not automatically reflected in HiOla. Reconcile those commitments before publishing availability.

Give clients one place to book

Share your workspace's booking link on your website, a QR code, or your Instagram profile. Clients open it in a phone browser, choose a service, select a barber when the shop has several, and choose an available time.

Clients do not need to install an app to book. For app reminders and appointment management, they can use the free HiOla consumer app and sign in with the same phone number they booked with.

Check the essentials before sharing

  1. Review the services, prices, durations and buffers.
  2. Confirm individual hours, days off and existing appointments.
  3. Open the booking link and check the choices your clients will see.

If the shop also takes walk-ins, use the separately enabled staff-managed walk-in queue. It is not a remote waiting list.

Explore the free barbershop booking app or contact support if you need help with setup.
